Love. Flowers. Cake. Hearts.

This is a post Valentine article (obviously as this year’s Heart’s Day is over). Tis one’s way soooo late.

I spent the night before Valentine’s Day listening to Kina Grannis’ song “Valentine” which is the number one song on my playlist right now.

So… I wonder how you guys spent the day.

Did you go out with your special someone, with friends or hanged out alone somewhere? Or did you just spend the day at home with family or locked yourself in your room and enjoyed a date with your pillow? Well, there’s nothing wrong with the latter I believe. It’s not that you’re forced to celebrate it like others. It’s just another usual day (which you could have made special).

It was a day I actually scheduled for a trip to the dentist but again for the nth time failed. But you know what didn't fail? It’s the yearly surprise for mum. Despite her being used to receiving flowers and cake every year during Valentine’s, still there was a tone of surprise in her voice when she saw them. This time I gave it a little bit later than the usual when she prolly already thought she’d never have them this year. She had been expecting them and had been bugging me the whole afternoon about it and I had to pretend Dad forgot it this time.
Next year, I and Dad’ll have to think of a new gimmick.

Heart shapes were drawn on the arms of my two lovely first grader cousins when we picked them from school.

Still the most beautiful description of love comes from the Bible.

Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

~1 Corinthians 13:4-13

God's love is forever <3
