Remember

This poem I found on one of my thought notebooks. T’was written on the month of November on the year 2010. I made it while I was working on my nanowrimo entry for that same year for it was untidily scribbled in the middle of the story though it has nothing to do with my plot during that time. Just thought I’d share it.

Remember

Remember those days when we were barely friends?
And we couldn’t even stand each other’s presence unless it’s class time?

We were just acquaintances, and then I smiled at you,
Talked to you, because I know you are my classmate,
That’s all nothing more.

Remember those days when you used to joke around,
And often said jokes are half meant,
And I would always ignore it.

Remember when you made me cry the first time?
Of course how would you know?
You were just playing then.

Remember when you first ignored me?
As if I didn’t exist?

Remember when you started caring?
When you really made me happy?
When you gave me another memory to save and reminisce?

Remember the second time you left me hanging?
When you forgot who I am and didn’t even care anymore?

Remember the last time you broke my heart?
When you got my world shattered because of your damn promises,
When leaving everything behind seemed so easy for you?
When you had more important priorities in life
And I was just a mere option because you had no other choice?

Probably not…

Because those times you were busy with your life,
And so I had to live mine my way,
And even started giving up.
